Animal Immune Stress Modeling and Evaluation Services
Animal Immune Stress Modeling and Evaluation Services

The common stresses in modern animal breeding mainly include nutritional stress, environmental stress, oxidative stress, and immune stress, of which the latter two are the focus of current research. The successful establishment of a stress model is the prerequisite for the smooth progress of anti-stress research. Therefore, the establishment of an appropriate animal stress model has become the primary issue in the study of oxidative stress, immune stress mechanism, and the development of anti-stress drugs.

Immune stress means that specific or non-specific antigens constantly invade the animal body, causing its immune system to continuously produce a response, leading to symptoms such as increased body temperature, decreased appetite, decreased immune function, and so on. Immune stress is mainly mediated by Glucocorticoid (GC), and catecholamines provide energy needs during stress.

Creative Bioarray provides animal-based immune stress model establishment services for customers in need. We can select appropriate stressors and customize induction schemes for customers according to their needs.

Available Modeling Methods at Creative Bioarray

  • The lipopolysaccharide-inducededed immune stress model

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), also known as endotoxin, is a component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria, which will be released when the bacteria disintegrate or destroy the cell by artificial methods. The molecular structure of lipopolysaccharide is composed of specific o chain, core region, and phospholipids. The specific o chain, also known as O antigen, is the region that determines the antigenicity of lipopolysaccharide molecules. The core is divided into the outer core region and the inner core region. The phospholipid part connected with the inner core region is also called lipid A. lipid A determines the toxicity of lipopolysaccharide molecules. Lipopolysaccharide is different from heavy metals and diquat. It is an immune enhancer. After entering the body, it causes the synthesis and rlease of cytokines by activating monocytes and macrophages, leading to immune stress.

  • Immune stress model induced by lipopolysaccharide and D-galactosamine

We combined LPS and D-galactosamine (d-ga1n) to establish an immune stress model in animals. D-ga1n is an interfering agent of uracil phosphate nucleoside (UTP) in hepatocytes. After entering the body, it combines with uridine phosphate to form uridine phosphate galactosamine, resulting in the depletion of uridine phosphate, thus inhibiting the synthesis of nucleic acids, glycoproteins, lipopolysaccharides, and other substances that depend on its biosynthesis, limiting the generation and supplement of organelles and enzymes. Organelles are damaged, membranes are damaged, and calcium ions flow into cells to cause liver cell damage
