Stress is a dysfunctional and defensive response exhibited by an organism stimulated by non-specific harmful factors inside and outside the body. Oxygen is necessary for biological survival and is an important regulator of cellular physiological functions. When cells are in a hypoxic state, cells, the basic structural unit of the organism, is the first to produce a stress response, which varies depending on the cell type and the intensity and duration of the stressor stimulus.
As a leader in the field of cellular stress, Creative Bioarray provides services to detect and analyze the effects of hypoxic stress on the survival, proliferation, apoptosis, and gene expression of different cell types. We help our customers to investigate the signaling regulation of stress response and its molecular mechanisms.
Cell viability assay by MTS method under hypoxic conditions
Different hypoxic conditions have completely different effects on the proliferation of embryonic stem cells cultured in vitro. We can test the proliferation of ES cells cultured in vitro under continuous hypoxia (e.g. 3% O2, 10% O2, 24h) and intermittent hypoxia (e.g. 3% O2, 4d). We can also assay the proliferation lifespan of fibroblasts, fetal oviduct epithelial cells, and oocyte granulosa cells under a given hypoxic condition for our clients.
Tumor tissue is often overgrown resulting in local tissue hypoxia and an imbalance between energy supply and consumption. Therefore, hypoxia is one of the characteristics of the local microenvironment of solid tumors.
Due to the specific response of HIF-1 to hypoxic stimuli and its extensive involvement in the induction of multiple gene transcription by hypoxia, and the presence of HIF-1 in a variety of cells, it may play a central role in the hypoxic response pathway
