Lipid peroxidation is a well-defined mechanism of animal and plant cell damage, which occurs in vivo under aging and some disease conditions. Lipid peroxide is an unstable marker of oxidative stress, which will decompose into complex reactive by-products.
Phospholipids in biofilm lipids are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are easily attacked by free radicals and their active derivatives to produce lipid peroxide in the presence of O Ω; The latter gradually decomposes into a series of complex compounds. Creative Bioarray provides reliable and user-friendly detection methods to detect the most common lipid peroxidation by-products: malondialdehyde (MDA), 4-hydroxynonenal (4-HNE) and 8-iso-prostaglandin F2 alpha (8-isoprostane).
8-iso-prostaglandin F2alpha (8-isoprostane) is a stable by-product of lipid peroxide produced during oxidative stress. Through our assay service, the 8-isoprostane in urine, plasma, serum, or cell lysates sample can be quantified in about 3 hours.
The total normal level of 8-Isoprostaglandin in human plasma is about 40-100 pg / ml and 500-2000 pg / ml in human urine. Our testing service can detect 8-Isoprostaglandin from 49 pg / ml to 200000 pg / ml.
Malondialdehyde (MDA) is one of the most common by-products of lipid peroxidation in the process of oxidative stress. We provide various forms of MDA detection services:
Important: MDA adducts are unstable for a long time. For best results, please freeze at - 80°C after collection and send it to us within one month. MDA in samples with long freezing time may degrade.
4-HNE (4-hydroxynonenal) is a common by-product of lipid peroxidation in the process of oxidative stress. 4-HNE protein adducts are generally more stable than MDA protein adducts, so they may be more reliable when testing samples frozen for several months. We measured the levels of HNE protein adducts in various samples for K, including cell and tissue lysates, serum, plasma and purified proteins.
HNE adducts are very stable and samples can be stored at - 80°C for up to six months without HNE degradation. Freezing and thawing should be avoided.
