Rat Ovarian Oxidative Stress Model

Rat Ovarian Oxidative Stress Model

Oxidative stress is a negative effect produced by free radicals in the body. In fact, almost all human organs are vulnerable to oxidative stress. As far as the ovary is concerned, oxidative stress not only affects the generation of eggs, the development of follicles, the maturation of eggs, the atresia of follicles and ovulation, but also reduces the quality of oocytes and embryos and the development ability of early embryos, which will significantly reduce the fertilization rate, embryo quality and pregnancy rate.

The establishment of oxidative stress model is very important for the study of ovarian stress-related diseases. Creative Bioarray uses some economical, applicable and convenient ovarian oxidative stress reagents for modeling. We recommend the method of intraperitoneal injection of citric acid solution to provide rat ovarian stress modeling for research in related scientific fields and provide a certain basis for clinical research on related mechanisms.

Service Content

Model purchase, feeding, modeling, material collection, and subsequent index detection. We can also provide model-based administration experiment, pharmacopharmacology, efficacy evaluation and pharmacokinetic analysis according to the specific needs of customers, so as to help customers study the mechanism of ovarian stress and seek new drugs for prevention and treatment.

Modeling Method

Intraperitoneal injection with citric acid solution of different concentration every 3 days, a total of 6 times. On the second day after the sixth intraperitoneal injection, the ovarian tissue of rats was taken for morphological observation.

Model Quality Assurance

General situation. During the experiment, the diet, activities and mental status of mice were observed.

Histomorphological observation. On the second day after the sixth injection, after anesthesia with ether, dissect immediately, take the left ovarian tissue of rats, and immediately fix it in 4% formaldehyde solution. After he staining, observe the histological characteristics and differences of ovaries of mice in each group under optical microscope.

Detection of tissue oxidative stress markers. After homogenization, the contents of total superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) were detected.

Model Features

We take the common SD rat as the modeling object, which has strong adaptability, strong physique, strong resistance to diseases, good experimental repeatability, easy observation and recording of experimental results, representativeness and low overall cost. It is a commonly used experimental animal to replicate pathological models.

The mouse ovary is small and the amount of materials is very small, which is not suitable for multi index research, while the rat ovary is large, which is suitable for multi index research.

Rats have strong survival ability, can better tolerate various stimuli in the process of modeling, and are more suitable for strong irritation modeling.
