Oxidative Stress Cell Model Establishment Services

Oxidative Stress Cell Model Establishment Services

Oxidative stress refers to the increase of free radicals or the weakening of antioxidant protection ability under the stimulation of harmful factors in vivo and in vitro, resulting in the imbalance of oxidative system and antioxidant system. Antioxidants can slow down or inhibit cell damage by neutralizing free radicals, removing oxidants or preventing oxidants from changing into more toxic compounds. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the mechanism of oxidative stress caused by harmful factors, evaluate and screen effective antioxidants, provide direction for the research and development of antioxidant functional foods, and maintain human health and prevent and control diseases.

Cell model is one of the effective methods to screen and evaluate antioxidants and study the mechanism of oxidative stress injury. Creative Bioarray provides many types of cellular stress services. Based on cell lines from the nervous, urinary, immune, bone, circulatory, digestive, skin and reproductive systems, we establish customized oxidative stress cell models and services for customers through chemical, physical or biological stressors.

Creative Bioarray has been committed to providing customers with high-quality services. Therefore, we have established a set of mature judgment indicators of oxidative stress cell model to evaluate the quality of the model. Please click here to see our standards.

Animal Model VS. Cell Model

Oxidative Stress Cell Model Establishment ServicesFig. 2 Oxidative Stress Cell (Guéguen, Bontemps & Ebrahimian, 2018)

At present, the research methods of oxidative stress and antioxidation mainly include animal model method and cell model method. However, the in vivo simulation method has the disadvantages of long cycle and high price.

Cell model method is to treat cells with stress sources, destroy the normal redox state in cells, produce substances that can damage DNA, RNA, protein, lipid and other intracellular components, play a toxic role, and simulate the oxidative stress state in the body. Therefore, it can effectively reflect the absorption, metabolism and utilization of harmful substances and antioxidants in cells, and accurately simulate the internal environment of organisms, The best cell line can also be selected according to the research purpose to establish a model, which can not only study the oxidative damage effect and mechanism of harmful substances on cells in vivo and in vitro, but also effectively evaluate or screen antioxidants.

Selection of Stressors in Oxidative Stress Cell Model

The selection of stressors should consider the research purpose. To study the oxidative damage effect of a substance, the substance should be selected as the stressor for the construction of cell model. If we want to evaluate the antioxidant activity of antioxidants, we should choose stress sources according to the action target and mechanism of antioxidants, or directly choose common stress methods. We establish customized oxidative stress cell models for customers through chemical, physical or biological stressors.
